Council Members - 2010

Veronica Motley, President
Leads Council meetings and all congregational meetings. Acts as official representative of the congregation.

Barbara Lucas, Vice President
Provides oversight of paid staff at ROA, including annual reviews of all lay and pastoral staff, and hiring of lay staff when required, and periodical review of the church's constitution. Seeks out persons willing to participate in our church administration.

Lara Adams, Minister of Congregational Life
Provides programs and ministries involving fellowship, education, and youth including the congregational picnic, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, adult educational programs, Lutheran Night at the Braves, Oktoberfest, and new member receptions.

Don Stewart, Minister of Property
Responsible for facility and grounds maintenance.

Joyce Anderson, Minister of Worship
Provides oversight of all worship activities, including service planning, acolytes, crucifers, lay readers, communion assistants, ushers, greeters, welcome folders, altar guild, liturgical and handbell choirs, and special services, such as Jazz vespers and healing services.

Ruth Thompson, Secretary
Responsible for recording council meeting minutes and creating a report for our Fortress publication.

Steve Hansen, Minister of Finance
Provides oversight of the congregation's financial condition and makes recommendations to Council regarding issues that may arise. Coordinates Stewardship drives and maintains membership records.

Kelly Kraus, Treasurer/Office Manager
Responsible for bookkeeping, disbursements, and payroll. Oversees office and administrative functions.

Patricia Snow, Minister of WELCA
Provides oversight of all women's ministries and programs within the congregation, including two women's circle groups, Lenten and Advent breakfasts, Operation Christmas Child, health kits, soap collection, and other charity projects throughout the year. ALL women are members of WELCA.

Melanie Taylor Williams, Minister of Mission and Service
Provides programs and ministries involving evangelism, and community involvement, including Nicholas House Family Shelter, Hunger Walk, Lutheran Services of Georgia activities, and Homeless food packs.
